Thiruvananthapuram, March 9: Kerala’s Transport Minister KB Ganesh Kumar has found himself embroiled in controversy following serious allegations made by his wife. She claims to have witnessed her husband in a compromising situation.
In a conversation with a media reporter over the phone, the minister’s wife stated that she possesses all the evidence regarding the incident but has no plans to pursue legal action.
According to her, she visited their home in Valakam last Saturday afternoon. Upon entering the house and the bedroom, she allegedly saw the minister in an inappropriate position. His staff attempted to intervene and took her phone, prompting her to call for help.
She reached out to a former DGP and a councillor from the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, who is also her cousin’s wife. Following her advice, she dialed the police’s toll-free helpline, 112. Although the police arrived, they stated they could not intervene in the matter.
KSU State Vice President Yadhu accused the minister’s wife in a Facebook post, claiming she discovered his extramarital affairs and recorded evidence. The post also alleged that the minister’s personal staff physically assaulted her, leading her to call the police.
The post raised questions about why the police did not take action despite the complaint. Yadhu stated that if his claims are false, the minister could take action against him.
In response to these allegations, Minister KB Ganesh Kumar defended himself, asserting that this is a conspiracy against him during election season. He dismissed claims of incompetence or corruption, stating that such issues arise when elections approach. He added that if asked about love, it is not surprising, as he has many people he loves and who love him in return.
