Kejriwal Alleges IB Calls to Party Workers, Questions Legitimacy

New Delhi, May 28: Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, has raised a serious issue on the social media platform ‘X’, claiming that his party workers are receiving phone calls from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) for verification purposes. He questioned the legality of this process, demanding clarity on the laws governing such actions.

Kejriwal recounted that he personally called the number in question and confirmed that the caller identified themselves as being from the IB. Upon inquiring about the legal basis for this verification, he reported that the call was abruptly disconnected, and he has since been unable to reach that number again.

Describing the situation as alarming, Kejriwal stated that such calls have been persistently made to his workers, increasing suspicion and concern. He questioned why individuals traveling from one state to another for work should undergo such verification processes.

He urged the Intelligence Bureau to clarify whether this number is indeed theirs and under what authority these calls are being made. Kejriwal also encouraged everyone to call that number to inquire about the legal foundation of this verification process.

He mentioned that if he travels to Gujarat again, he will personally visit the IB office to seek answers on this matter. He advised his workers to share any future calls of this nature on social media to inform the public about the situation.

Kejriwal asserted that such activities raise serious questions regarding transparency and civil rights. The issue has sparked significant discussion in political circles.
