Karnataka BJP Claims Congresss Internal Strife Exposed by Sting Operation
Karnataka BJPs BY Vijayendra alleges Congresss internal conflict is revealed through a sting operation, raising questions about motives and accountability.

Bengaluru, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra alleged on Tuesday that the ongoing power struggle within the Congress party has now been laid bare. He targeted former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, questioning the motives behind the sting operation and demanding clarity from the state government about who orchestrated it and whose interests it served.
Vijayendra stated that reports suggest Siddaramaiah has expressed dissatisfaction regarding these developments, and his son has also made statements on the issue. He pointed out that Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy raised several serious questions during a press conference.
Instead of targeting Kumaraswamy for political reasons, Vijayendra urged the state’s Home Minister and other Congress leaders to address the questions surrounding the sting operation, including its true purpose and execution.
Speaking at a press conference in Kolar ahead of the BJP’s nationwide awareness campaign, “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy,” Vijayendra emphasized the importance of protecting the dignity of democratic institutions and constitutional values. He accused Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, of spreading misinformation about these institutions out of frustration with Prime Minister Modi’s popularity.
He criticized Congress for attempting to create the perception that the BJP government at the center came to power through dubious means. According to Vijayendra, Congress has been unable to accept the electoral mandate after being rejected by the public and is trying to foster confusion and chaos in the country.
Vijayendra also accused the Congress government of neglecting unemployed youth in Karnataka, despite approximately 250,000 vacancies in government departments. He highlighted ongoing protests by unemployed youth against alleged irregularities in the Karnataka Public Service Commission’s recruitment process. Many young people have spent years preparing for competitive exams and waiting for recruitment, but government negligence has left their futures uncertain.
He further criticized the Congress government, led by Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, for burdening citizens with rising prices during Diwali and the Kannada Rajyotsava. He condemned the announced increases in milk and yogurt prices, as well as proposed bus fare hikes.
While he welcomed the decision to allocate ₹7 of the milk price increase to dairy farmers, he insisted that farmers deserve better compensation. However, he argued that the government should bear the financial burden of incentivizing farmers instead of passing it entirely onto consumers.
Vijayendra asserted that the recent results of the Legislative Council elections reflect public discontent with the Congress government. He accused Congress of deceiving the public with numerous promises made before coming to power. Despite ongoing meetings and political discussions among senior Congress leaders, he believes they will not be able to suppress the public’s anger.
He expressed confidence that voters will deliver a resounding response to the Congress government in the upcoming Hiriyur by-elections.
