JP Nadda Criticizes Rahul Gandhis Rally as a Threat to Democracy

JP Nadda accuses Rahul Gandhi of undermining democracy with his rally, claiming it harms Delhis economy and disrespects Sikh victims.

New Delhi, November 1 (Daily Kiran) : Central Minister JP Nadda has accused Rahul Gandhi and the India Bloc of spreading chaos in the name of democracy. He asserted that Gandhi’s rally aims to destabilize the elected government, harm Delhi’s traders during the festive season, and insult the victims of the 1984 anti–Sikh riots. Nadda claimed this rally would serve as the “final nail in the coffin of Congress’s political downfall.”

Commenting on the massive rally at Ramleela Maidan, Nadda stated, “What is happening today is not a respect for democracy; rather, it is a calculated plot to plunge the country into chaos under the guise of democracy. This is a foolish act created by those whom the public has repeatedly defeated and rejected.”

He emphasized that the public is well aware of these tactics. “Rahul Gandhi, let me clarify your political model: the first phase involves spreading lies and rumors, the second creates chaos on the streets, the third damages the economy, and the fourth attempts to destabilize an elected government at the behest of foreign powers,” Nadda explained.

Nadda outlined four objectives of the drama orchestrated by Gandhi on November 1. The first is to rub salt in the wounds of our Sikh brothers, the second is to create riots and chaos in Delhi to topple a democratically elected government, the third is to rob traders of their earnings during the festive season, and the fourth is to tarnish the country’s image.

Addressing Gandhi directly, Nadda asserted, “This is India, not a banana republic, where you can incite riots and push for regime changes whenever you want. Rahul Gandhi, stop dreaming. India is the oldest and strongest democracy in the world. November 1 marks one of the darkest stains in our history, the day Congress’s goons massacred innocent Sikh brothers. Thousands of Sikh families were left homeless overnight, and many sisters became widows. The country has not forgotten.”

He criticized Gandhi’s insensitivity, stating, “On this dark day, when the entire nation should remember the martyrs and victims, Rahul Gandhi stands at Ramleela Maidan only to advance his political agenda.”

According to Nadda, the goal of Rahul Gandhi and Congress is to “paralyze Delhi, jeopardize the livelihoods of small traders, and create an atmosphere of unrest and riots during the festive season.”

He highlighted the significance of the upcoming festivals—Dhanteras, Diwali, and Chhath Puja—stating that small traders rely on this time for their annual earnings to support their families. “However, Rahul Gandhi shows no concern for whether these traders can keep their kitchens running; he is only interested in fueling his political ambitions,” Nadda remarked.

Nadda revealed that the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) had written to Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and Mamata Banerjee, urging them not to hold such large political events in Delhi during the festive season. Previous protests have already cost Delhi’s traders approximately ₹3,000 crores, and the current political spectacle may result in losses exceeding ₹10,000 crores.

He pointed out that many small traders work in key markets such as Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, Khari Baoli, Karol Bagh, and throughout central Delhi.

Nadda posed a question to Gandhi and the India alliance partners, asking if they were complicit in the Congress party’s sins against the Sikh community and the traders of Delhi. “Have you reached a point where, in your hatred for the BJP, you now despise the people of this country?” he inquired.

He also targeted Gandhi’s foreign trips and the “disparaging” comments made about the country during those visits. “Is this your agenda? Is your goal not to develop the country but to spread destruction across it?” Nadda questioned.

“I want to make it clear to Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party that the people of India will not fall for your deceit any longer. Your toolkit for spreading chaos has been exposed,” he stated.

Nadda concluded by reminding Gandhi that he cannot hide the dark history of November 1. “You will be held accountable for the tears of Delhi’s traders. India is a strong democracy. Here, your riot-inciting politics will not prevail; rather, the country will be governed by the Constitution and the people’s mandate. This rally will indeed be the final nail in the coffin of the Congress party’s political demise.”
