Keshav Prasad Maurya Criticizes Opposition Rally in Delhi, Predicts Voter Response in Upcoming Elections
Keshav Prasad Maurya slams opposition rally in Delhi, asserting the public will respond in upcoming elections.

Lucknow, November 1 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has launched a strong attack on the opposition’s “Vote Save, Country Save” rally held at Ram Leela Maidan in Delhi. He criticized the opposition alliance, claiming they have repeatedly failed to promote Rahul Gandhi effectively.
Maurya described the events organized by the opposition as a mockery of democracy and the Constitution. He emphasized that the people of India have consistently supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government in the elections of 2014, 2019, and 2024, and that the opposition’s discontent stems from their inability to accept this mandate.
He accused the opposition of attempting to disrupt business in the nation’s capital and expressed that their arrogance would not be tolerated. Maurya warned that all parties supporting the rally would face consequences in the upcoming assembly elections in various states starting in 2027. He noted that just as the public had backed the BJP in states like Haryana, Maharashtra, Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal, and Assam, they would do the same in future elections.
Maurya pointed out that the opposition chose to hold their rally on the anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s death, a day marked by the imposition of the Emergency, which he referred to as a violation of the Constitution. He asserted that the public is vigilant and will not accept actions that undermine national integrity.
Responding to comments made by Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan regarding his experiences as a Muslim and his university establishment, Maurya firmly stated that Khan is facing consequences for his actions related to crime and corruption, not for his religion or educational initiatives. He called for an investigation into any irregularities during Khan’s tenure as a cabinet minister under Akhilesh Yadav, suggesting that Yadav should also be scrutinized.
Additionally, Maurya commented on the BJP’s ongoing “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy” campaign, asserting that the opposition is intent on undermining democracy and ignoring the Constitution. He claimed that the opposition has misjudged India, equating it to countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, or Sri Lanka, and emphasized the deep-rooted nature of democracy in India.
He reiterated that the BJP aims to continue its winning streak, predicting a fourth consecutive term for Modi’s government in 2029. Maurya concluded by stating that those dreaming of a political upheaval would see their aspirations shattered.
