Jharkhand Recruitment Reform Journey Enters Second Day, Devendra Mahatos Team Issues Warning to Government

Hazaribagh, August 26: The second day of the recruitment reform journey led by student leader Devendra Nath Mahato, under the banner of the ‘JPSC-JSSC Candidates Justice Forum,’ took place in Jharkhand. Students welcomed this initiative, demanding transparent examination processes and results. They also issued a warning to the Jharkhand government against intimidating the protesters.

Devendra Nath Mahato stated, “On the second day of the reform journey, we entered Hazaribagh after Ramgarh and Jatha districts. From Gandhi Maidan, we will continue this journey to various locations. This is not just a journey for us; it is a commitment. Through this journey, we aim to fight for the dreams of JPSC-JSSC candidates who have suffered for 26 years due to the corrupt recruitment system.”

He explained that the struggle began on July 2, the movement started on July 5, the satyagraha commenced on July 25, and the hunger strike began on August 2. During this time, the assembly was surrounded, and various marches were conducted, leading to a government response.

Mahato emphasized that this is not just a fight for the candidates; it represents every household in Jharkhand’s 24 districts. It is a battle for mothers who cut back on essentials to send money for their children’s jobs, and for farmer fathers who toil in the fields to pay their children’s fees. It is the voice of migrant laborers who endure exploitation and oppression while working in other states.

He added that families hope their children will study and find jobs in their own state, avoiding the need to migrate for employment. This is the collective voice of the people of Jharkhand. Today, from Hazaribagh, we demand that all examinations marred by irregularities, whether related to JCCGL or the 11th-17th JPSC, be annulled. No matter how powerful the IAS, IPS, bureaucrats, or ministers involved are, they should not escape accountability. If they are shielded through CID investigations, a CBI inquiry must be initiated, and action will be taken against the guilty. No group will be spared.
