Jharkhand Premier League: Jamshedpur Steelers Triumph Over Santhal Strikers, Koylanchal Super Kings Dominate Chhota Nagpur

New Delhi, June 18: The Jharkhand Premier League 2026 saw two thrilling matches on Wednesday. In the first match, Jamshedpur Steelers showcased an impressive performance, defeating Santhal Strikers by 15 runs. Meanwhile, Koylanchal Super Kings outperformed Chhota Nagpur Royals in the second encounter.

Jamshedpur Steelers batted first, scoring 180 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Kumar Devbrat led the charge with a powerful innings of 74 runs off 49 balls, including 5 fours and 6 sixes. Sahil Raj also contributed significantly, scoring 56 runs from 39 balls with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes. For Santhal Strikers, Pratyush Kumar took 4 wickets, while Sadab Hussain claimed 3 wickets.

Chasing a target of 181 runs, Santhal Strikers managed to score only 165 runs, losing 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Anmol Raj played valiantly, scoring an unbeaten 92 runs off 50 balls, but lacked support from his teammates. Manishi remained not out at 27 runs off 15 balls. Jamshedpur Steelers’ Prateek Ranjan was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for just 15 runs in his 4 overs, while Harsh Rana secured 2 wickets.

In the second match, Koylanchal Super Kings batted first, posting a total of 156 runs after losing 9 wickets. Yogesh was the top scorer with 56 runs, while Amit Kumar and Laksh contributed 24 and 21 runs, respectively. For Chhota Nagpur Royals, Mohit Kumar, Rahul, and Deepanshu each took 2 wickets.

Chhota Nagpur’s chase fell short as they were all out for just 143 runs. Shreshth Sagar fought hard, scoring an unbeaten 69 runs off 52 balls, hitting 10 fours and 1 six. However, the rest of the batting lineup struggled against Koylanchal’s bowlers. Rahul Prasad excelled with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs, while Junaid, Harsh Raj, and Amit each took 1 wicket.
