
Ranchi, July 2: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren filled out an enumeration form on Thursday as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign, promoting active participation in the democratic process.
He urged all eligible voters in the state to complete their SIR forms and verify their voter details within the designated timeframe. During the event held at the Chief Minister’s residential office on Kanke Road, he filled out the enumeration form in the presence of the booth-level officer (BLO) for booth number 290 in the 64-Hatia assembly constituency.
On this occasion, his wife and legislator Kalpana Soren also submitted her SIR form. The Chief Minister emphasized that safeguarding the right to vote is a crucial responsibility for every citizen. He stated that the democratic participation of each individual is the greatest strength of democracy, and maintaining an accurate and updated voter list is the foundation of a free, fair, and transparent electoral process.
He appealed to all eligible voters in the state to complete their SIR forms promptly and ensure the verification of their information in the voter list. Furthermore, he encouraged them to motivate their families, neighbors, and others in their community to participate in this process.
CM Samrat Chaudhary noted that the goal of the special intensive revision campaign is to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the voter list and that the list is entirely updated and error-free. According to the Election Commission, BLOs are going door-to-door across the state to distribute enumeration forms and verify voter details as part of this campaign.
The event was attended by Ranchi’s District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, Sub-Divisional Officer Kumar Rajat, Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and Additional Collector Dhananjay, Deputy Election Officer Vivek Kumar Suman, and other officials from the election department, including BLO Veronica Devi.
