Ranchi, July 2: The Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, personally filled out and submitted the voter enumeration form to the Booth Level Officer (BLO) as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign on Thursday.
During this event, he urged all eligible Indian citizens in the state to actively participate in the campaign, emphasizing that including every eligible voter in the voter list is essential for strengthening the democratic process.
At Lok Bhawan, the Governor handed over the duly filled and signed enumeration form to BLO Manju Kachhap for polling station number 16 in the 63-Ranchi Assembly constituency. Present at the event were K. Ravi Kumar, the Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand, Manjunath Bhajantri, the District Electoral Officer of Ranchi, and Kumar Rajat, the Electoral Registration Officer-cum-Sub-Divisional Officer.
Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar stated that the aim of the special intensive revision program is to ensure that the names of all eligible Indian citizens are included in the voter list. He urged citizens to promptly fill out the enumeration form with accurate information when the BLO visits their homes and return it with their signatures. This will aid in making the voter list more accurate and up-to-date.
He reiterated that the voter list is the cornerstone of the democratic system and that it is crucial for all eligible citizens to be included. Therefore, it is the responsibility of every voter to cooperate in this campaign and provide the necessary information on time.
The Governor expressed his best wishes to all officials, booth level officers, and staff involved in the special intensive revision campaign, expressing confidence that their dedicated efforts will lead to success, ensuring that no eligible citizen is left out of the voter list. Under this campaign, BLOs are going door-to-door distributing enumeration forms and collecting updated information from voters to create an error-free final voter list.
