JD(U) MPs Meet Nitish Kumar in New Delhi to Discuss Bihars Development

New Delhi, August 13: Members of the Janata Dal (United) met with party president and former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his official residence in New Delhi on Wednesday. Sanjay Kumar Jha, the party’s national executive president and Rajya Sabha MP, was also present during the meeting.

Nitish Kumar sought updates from the MPs on significant public interest issues and development initiatives concerning Bihar that are being raised in Parliament. He received detailed feedback on the progress of development schemes and welfare programs in the MPs’ constituencies.

The MPs briefed Kumar on the current status of ongoing development projects, infrastructure initiatives, and welfare schemes in their respective Lok Sabha areas. Kumar urged the MPs to prioritize public interest issues in Parliament and to remain actively engaged in the effective implementation of development plans.

The meeting included key figures such as Dileshwar Kamat, leader of the JD(U) parliamentary party in the Lok Sabha, along with MPs Kaushalendra Kumar, Devesh Chandra Thakur, Alok Kumar Suman, Ramprit Mandal, Vijayalakshmi Devi, Sunil Kumar, and Lalit Kumar Sarraf, the deputy leader of the ruling party in the Legislative Council and party treasurer.

Meanwhile, Bihar’s Minister for Minority Welfare, Mo. Jama Khan, met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda for a courtesy visit. They discussed Bihar’s comprehensive development, public interest issues, and the state’s progress in detail.

Khan presented topics related to the central government’s cooperation and coordination for Bihar’s development. He specifically raised the demand for the stoppage of the Rajdhani Express at the Bhabhua Road railway station in Kaimur district.

He emphasized that the Bhabhua Road railway station is a significant station in the area, and having the Rajdhani Express stop there would greatly benefit local passengers, traders, and the general public. This would also promote the region’s economic and social development.
