Patna, August 13: Following his victory in the Bankipur assembly by-election, Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraj and newly elected MLA, has decided not to use his allocated government residence as a private home. Instead, he plans to convert the two-story duplex at MLA Housing Complex in Patna into a public office for the residents of Bankipur.
Kishor believes this residence should serve as a space where constituents can meet directly with their elected representative to discuss their issues, complaints, and suggestions. He stated that the office will remain open to the public, allowing them to avoid unnecessary hassle when seeking assistance.
The initiative aims to establish direct communication between the MLA and the local populace. Residents of Bankipur will have the opportunity to address local development, government services, and other community-related matters at this office.
Kishor’s plans for Bankipur also emphasize employment. He aims to assist 10,000 youth in securing jobs in the private sector. A system will be set up at residence number 182 where educated unemployed individuals can submit their resumes. A dedicated team will then connect candidates with suitable job opportunities based on their qualifications and profiles.
This government residence is located within the VIP MLA Housing Complex in Patna, adjacent to the residence of senior BJP leader and cabinet minister Ram Kripal Yadav. Kishor’s decision to utilize the official residence as an open office for the public, rather than a private home, has garnered significant attention.
This move is seen as an attempt to translate Kishor’s political vision into reality. Rather than using the government-provided residence for personal convenience, he aims to create an accessible channel of communication between the MLA and the public.
