Paresh Rawal is one of the few actors who has successfully portrayed a wide array of characters, including comedic roles, villains, serious parts, and historical figures. Interestingly, before entering the film industry, Paresh Rawal worked at the Bank of Baroda. However, his passion for acting led him to leave that job behind.
He made his Bollywood debut in 1984 with the film ‘Holi.’ The 1986 movie ‘Naam’ established him as a remarkable actor. In the 1990s, he played powerful negative and character roles in films like ‘Ram Lakhan,’ ‘Kabzaa,’ ‘Sir,’ and ‘Andaz Apna Apna.’
A significant turning point in his career came in 2000 with the film ‘Hera Pheri.’ His portrayal of ‘Baburao Ganpatrao Apte (Babu Bhaiya)’ became so iconic that it remains a part of Indian pop culture and internet memes today.
