Israeli Researcher Praises RSS for Merit-Based Opportunities Over Caste

Israeli researcher Yeshaia Rosenman commends RSS for promoting merit and social dedication, highlighting PM Modi as a key example.

New Delhi, October 18 (Daily Kiran) : Israeli researcher Yeshaia Rosenman has shared his positive experiences with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), emphasizing the organization’s focus on hard work, dedication, and social service. Speaking about his time with the RSS, Rosenman asserted that advancement should be based on effort rather than caste or economic status, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a prime example.

Rosenman’s insights are featured in a book titled “Hundred Years Young: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh,” which highlights the achievements of 18 young individuals associated with the organization. Reflecting on his experiences, he described the members as friendly and welcoming, expressing admiration for their commitment to their goals.

He noted that RSS members work not for personal gain but out of genuine dedication to their mission. “Progress within the RSS should be based on hard work and merit,” he said, pointing to Modi as a model of this principle. “PM Modi has consistently advanced based on his work ethic and accomplishments.”

Despite limited knowledge about India in Western countries, Rosenman believes Modi has become an international brand. “Generally, people in the West know little about India; they recognize the Taj Mahal, Mahatma Gandhi, and Modi. His global brand status speaks volumes and elevates India’s prestige,” he remarked.

To understand the support for Modi in India, Rosenman suggested examining aspects of development and governance. He highlighted improvements in clean drinking water, sanitation, cooking gas, bank accounts, and infrastructure, stating, “For many Indians, development and good governance take precedence over ideology.”

Rosenman also acknowledged the RSS’s social initiatives, emphasizing that the organization’s work extends beyond ideology to include significant social activities. He remarked on the RSS’s cultural role, stating, “The organization plays a vital role in preserving and promoting Indian cultural identity.”

Addressing prevalent international perceptions of the RSS, he urged people to engage directly with its members to gain a clearer understanding of its history and the broader social context. He appealed to individuals in Western countries to appreciate India’s civilization, history, mathematics, literature, and cultural heritage without bias. “There are shared ideas and values between Indian and Western civilizations. Dialogue and collaboration can enhance cultural understanding,” he concluded.

Rosenman urged people to form opinions about the RSS based on direct conversations with its members rather than relying solely on third-party information. Understanding India’s cultural heritage can foster a broader perspective on the country and its institutions.
