New Delhi, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : As the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated, prominent opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, have extended their heartfelt greetings. Rahul Gandhi expressed his hopes that this auspicious occasion would eliminate obstacles and bring happiness to people’s lives.
In a post on social media platform X, Gandhi wrote, “Wishing everyone a heartfelt Ganesh Chaturthi. I hope this festival removes all your obstacles and brings joy into your lives.”
Mallikarjun Kharge also shared his wishes, stating, “Warm greetings to all citizens on the sacred occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The great freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak connected Ganesh Utsav with the masses, making it a powerful medium for unity and awareness during the freedom struggle.”
He added, “I hope this holy festival keeps alive the spirit of unity and collective effort from our freedom movement, inspiring us to dedicate ourselves to love, harmony, and brotherhood.”
Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also conveyed her wishes, sharing a prayer: “Vakratunda Mahakaya, Surya Koti Samaprabha. Nirvighnam Kurume Deva, Sarva Karyeshu Sarvada.” She wished all citizens a joyous Ganesh Chaturthi and prayed to Lord Vinayak for happiness and prosperity.
Sharad Pawar, head of the NCP-SP, sent his greetings as well. In a post, he wished for the arrival of Lord Ganesha to bring joy and new hopes to every home, praying for happiness, prosperity, good health, and success.
Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, also shared his wishes, saying, “Wishing you and your family a blessed Ganesh Chaturthi. I pray that Lord Vinayak removes all sorrows from your life and brings prosperity and happiness to your home.”
Akhilesh Yadav, president of the Samajwadi Party, concluded the greetings with his own heartfelt wishes for the festival.
