Iran Calls for Accountability from Europe Over NATO Secretarys Remarks
Irans Foreign Ministry demands accountability from Europe for involvement in the conflict against Iran, citing NATO Secretary Generals statements.

Tehran, September 26 (Daily Kiran) : The Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson, Ismail Baghaei, has responded strongly to comments made by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. Baghaei stated that Rutte’s remarks clearly indicate that Europe has actively participated alongside the United States and Israel in the war against Iran. He called for accountability from EU and NATO countries regarding their involvement in the conflict.
In a post on the social media platform X, Baghaei shared a video of Rutte, asserting that this is another clear acknowledgment of Europe’s deliberate and active participation in the war against Iran, despite persistent denials throughout the conflict. He emphasized the need for accountability for the roles played by the European Union, its member states, and NATO countries, including any political, military, logistical, or other support that contributed to loss of life and property.
Baghaei stated that European citizens have the right to question their governments about the decisions made to support or engage in this attack. He specifically pointed out that the illegal war has led to rising fuel prices and other hardships, which should be viewed in light of the roles European governments played in facilitating and supporting the conflict.
He further called for a thorough investigation into Rutte’s role and the actions taken under his authority as NATO Secretary General.
