Lucknow, March 19: Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, is yet to make a significant mark in his cricket career. He is working hard to establish a strong identity in domestic cricket and the IPL. In IPL 2026, Arjun will be seen playing for Lucknow Super Giants instead of Mumbai Indians.
Arjun is putting in the effort to leave his mark in the upcoming season. He will be collaborating with captain Rishabh Pant. LSG shared a practice session video showing Pant and Arjun engaged in conversation. During this interaction, Pant is surprised to learn the weight of Arjun’s bat.
In the video, Pant asks Arjun about the weight of his bat. Arjun responds, “1220 grams.” Pant is taken aback. When Pant inquires about the benefits of playing with a heavy bat, Arjun explains, “It flies even when touched. Dad played with bats weighing 1310-1315 grams. I don’t go below 1200 grams.”
There is not much age difference between Arjun Tendulkar and Rishabh Pant, which has led to a quick friendship in the LSG camp. In the video, Pant assures Arjun that he will always be there for him whenever needed.
Pant also praised Arjun’s dedication, noting that he joined Yuvraj Singh for training just a day after his wedding.
Arjun Tendulkar, a left-arm fast bowler and left-handed top-order batsman, plays for Goa in domestic cricket. He made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians against KKR in 2023, where he scored 13 runs in one innings across five matches and took three wickets. Before IPL 2026, Arjun has now joined LSG.
