Arundhati Reddy Named ICC Womens Player of the Month for February 2026

Dubai, March 23: Indian women’s cricketer Arundhati Reddy has been awarded the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for February 2026. This marks the first time in her career that she has received this prestigious honor. Reddy’s exceptional performance played a crucial role in India’s memorable victory against Australia.

After being named Player of the Month, Reddy expressed her gratitude, stating, “Being chosen as the ICC Player of the Month is truly a great honor for me. It is even more special because I contributed to winning the T20 series in Australia. Defeating Australia on their home ground is never easy, so this award holds even greater significance. Winning this series has greatly boosted our team’s confidence as we prepare for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales this summer. Our team is very balanced, and I am confident that we will be a team to watch in this tournament.”

Reddy was the highest wicket-taker in the three-match T20 series between India and Australia, claiming 8 wickets at an average of 10.87 and an economy rate of 7.25. Her significant contribution was vital in securing the series 2-1 for India, marking the first T20 series victory in Australia since 2016.

The right-arm seamer showcased her skills from the very first match played in Sydney, where she delivered her career-best performance, taking 4 wickets for just 22 runs, earning her the Player of the Match award.

The 28-year-old continued her impressive form in the subsequent matches, taking 2 wickets for 30 runs in Canberra, and 2 wickets for 35 runs in the decisive match in Adelaide.
