New Delhi, 9 December. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shortlisted the final list of players for the IPL 2026 mini auction from an initial pool of 1,355 players. The final list features 350 players, including 35 new names.
Among the new additions, South African explosive wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock stands out. His base price is set at ₹1 crore. De Kock has been placed in the third set of wicketkeeper-batsmen. With extensive IPL experience, he is expected to attract strong competition among teams during the auction. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) did not retain him for the upcoming season. Currently, he is part of the South African national team and is preparing to showcase his skills in the five-match T20 series against India.
The list of foreign players also includes Sri Lanka’s Traveen Mathew, Binura Fernando, Kusal Perera, and Dunith Wellalage. From Afghanistan, Arafat Gul is included. England’s Miles Hammond and Dan Lateston feature as well. Other South African players on the list are Quinton de Kock, Connor Esterhuizen, George Linde, and Bjanda Majola.
Indian players added to the final list include Sadak Hussain, Vishnu Solanki, Sabir Khan, Brijesh Sharma, Kanishk Chauhan, Aaron George, Jikku Bright, Srihari Nair, Madhav Bajaj, Shrivats Acharya, Yashraj Punja, Sahil Parakh, Roshan Vaghasare, Yash Dicholkar, Ayaz Khan, Dhurmil Matkar, Naman Pushpak, Pariksha Valsankar, Purav Agarwal, Rishabh Chauhan, Sagar Solanki, Ijaz Sawaria, and Aman Shekhawat.
There are 40 players with a base price of ₹2 crore, including only two Indian players—Ravi Bishnoi and Venkatesh Iyer.
According to the BCCI, the auction will begin with capped players. The order will be batsmen first, followed by all-rounders, wicketkeeper-batsmen, fast bowlers, and spinners. Afterward, the auction will move to uncapped players. The first set includes Cameron Green, Devon Conway, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Sarfaraz Khan, Prithvi Shaw, and David Miller. Venkatesh Iyer will be part of the all-rounders’ second set.
The board will implement an accelerated auction round starting with player number 70. This round will include players from 71 to 350. Teams will then be asked to nominate players they wish to review again in the auction.
The IPL 2026 mini auction is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi on 16 December. Cameron Green is expected to emerge as one of the most expensive players in the auction.
