New Delhi, April 21: Investors have once again approached the Supreme Court regarding the Grand Venezia Project scam in Greater Noida, which involves millions of rupees. They accuse the project’s promoter, Satendra Singh Bhasin, of violating Supreme Court orders and are demanding strict action against him.
In their petition, investors stated that the Supreme Court had revoked Bhasin’s bail on April 2, considering his behavior. The court instructed him to surrender within seven days. However, Bhasin sought an extension of this deadline, which the Supreme Court denied.
According to the petition, Bhasin was supposed to surrender by April 9. Yet, despite the deadline passing, he has neither surrendered to the police nor appeared in court.
Investors allege that Bhasin is deliberately trying to prolong the legal process by exploiting various legal options to delay the case. They warn that ignoring such behavior could set a dangerous precedent.
Additionally, the petition questions the role of the Uttar Pradesh police, claiming they have not taken any concrete steps to enforce the Supreme Court’s orders. There are also concerns that Bhasin may flee the country.
Furthermore, the petition alleges that Bhasin has concealed critical information from the court. Investors claim he failed to disclose multiple FIRs registered in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
They have urged the Supreme Court to direct Bhasin to surrender immediately. They also seek the issuance of a non-bailable warrant against him and a lookout circular to prevent him from leaving the country.
