The Buyer-Seller Conference 2026, held under the Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture and Food Festival, brought together local farmers, entrepreneurs, and international buyers on a common platform, opening doors to new opportunities.

Hosted at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre, the event attracted nearly 50 international buyers from over 16 countries. The conference showcased Kashmir’s renowned saffron, honey, walnuts, and other dry fruits, along with fresh agricultural products. These items exhibit vast export potential, promising to strengthen the region’s economy.

A key objective of the program was to raise awareness among local producers about international standards and certification processes. Buyers praised the quality of Kashmiri products but also suggested that more focus is needed on necessary documentation and certification to compete in the global market.

Buyers from Malaysia, Japan, the UAE, and Europe expressed particular interest in Kashmiri products, indicating the possibility of new export opportunities in the future. For local entrepreneurs and startups, this event served as a significant platform. The excitement was palpable as they presented their products to international buyers for the first time. The event aims to connect Kashmir’s traditional and high-quality products with the global market.

Entrepreneurs believe that such events will not only boost trade but also provide global recognition to Kashmir’s rich cultural and agricultural heritage.
