Inter Kashi Draws 1-1 with Odisha FC in Thrilling ISL Match

Pune, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : In a gripping encounter at the K. Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune, Inter Kashi secured a 1-1 draw against Odisha FC during the eighth match of the Indian Super League 2026-27 on October 17. Odisha FC initially took the lead in the 56th minute, thanks to an unfortunate own goal by Inter Kashi defender Pratik Chaudhary. However, Thoi Singh later equalized, ensuring both teams shared the points.
From the outset, both teams pushed for an early lead. In the first 15 minutes, Inter Kashi challenged Odisha’s defense with attempts from Sajjad Parrey and Wayne Vaz. Parrey’s left-footed shot from outside the box sailed wide, while Vaz missed a golden opportunity set up by Jitendra Singh.
Odisha FC responded with their own chances. In the 22nd minute, Rahim Ali’s effort from the left side of the box was thwarted, while the visiting team consistently posed threats through set pieces. Just before halftime, Rahim had another chance but shot wide, leaving the first half goalless.
The second half began with Inter Kashi adopting an aggressive approach, but attempts by Rosenborg Gabriel and Wayne Vaz were blocked by Odisha’s defense. In a twist, Odisha took the lead in the 56th minute when Pratik Chaudhary accidentally directed the ball into his own net.
Odisha nearly doubled their lead in the 76th minute, as Mahmoud Eid took a shot following a pass from Lalrinfela Khiangte. However, Inter Kashi goalkeeper Albino Gomes made a spectacular save to keep his team in the game.
As the second half progressed, Inter Kashi’s persistent efforts paid off. After a set-piece situation, Thoi Singh found space in the box and skillfully placed the ball into the bottom left corner, leveling the score at 1-1. In the dying moments of the match, Inter Kashi pushed for a winning goal, but Aritra Das’s direct free-kick went high and wide. Ultimately, neither team could find the decisive goal, resulting in a draw that awarded Inter Kashi a valuable point.
