Indias Foreign Policy Prioritizes Citizens Welfare, Says MP Manan Mishra

New Delhi, March 26: BJP MP Manan Mishra expressed support for External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar’s remarks during a multi-party meeting called by the Indian government amid ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. He emphasized that India’s foreign policy is clear: the welfare of our citizens comes first.

In an interview in New Delhi, Mishra stated, “We do not carry anyone else’s flag or burden. Our policy is independent and distinctly our own. We remain neutral and focus solely on our citizens.” He highlighted that the Modi government is committed to ensuring the benefits for the people of India.

Mishra discussed how citizens can live in peace, harmony, and stability, and how the country can develop without any shortage of oil, while keeping reserves secure. He stressed the importance of maintaining good relations with all countries. Therefore, he reiterated that the External Affairs Minister was correct in stating that our foreign policy prioritizes our citizens.

Commenting on the BJP’s decision to nominate the mother of an R.G. victim, Mishra called it a commendable step. “This will send a very positive message throughout West Bengal, especially to those who have been harassed by TMC goons. Granting tickets to such individuals is beneficial for both the citizens of the country and the people of Bengal. The BJP will grow stronger from this,” he noted, emphasizing the party’s long-standing commitment to women’s respect.

Mishra criticized the TMC, stating that stone-pelting incidents are instigated by TMC goons and their workers. He pointed out that during religious occasions like Ram Navami, law and order issues arise solely due to TMC workers and their anti-social elements, who even receive protection from the police. He asserted that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has caused significant distress in Bengal over the past 15 years.

Responding to Banerjee’s statements, Mishra accused her of lying, asserting that the nature of TMC members and their workers is to attack and harass innocent people. He contrasted this with the BJP’s approach, which he claimed has never involved attacking the innocent. “The BJP conducts its programs peacefully,” he stated.

Regarding Prime Minister Modi’s recognition as one of the world’s most popular leaders, Mishra remarked that the global community praises him. He noted that nearly 39-40 countries have honored Modi with their highest awards, reflecting the immense respect India has gained. Before 2014, India was often viewed as a struggling nation, weakened by the UPA government.

Mishra concluded by stating that PM Modi aims to establish India as a developed nation and a global leader by 2047. He acknowledged the crises caused by wars worldwide but emphasized that the peace enjoyed by people in India is due to the country’s foreign policy and Modi’s commendable decisions. “This is a matter of pride for us, and we should be happy,” he added.
