Nice, June 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate ‘India Innovates 2026‘ in France. The Indian startup community has expressed its appreciation for this initiative, eagerly anticipating the upcoming event in Nice.
Over 120 Indian companies and startups will participate, alongside renowned business leaders, investors, and CEOs from France and other countries.
Vikram Vishal, an innovator from Urjanovasi, stated, “We are very excited. All members of our startup group are thrilled that our Prime Minister is supporting and encouraging us. This sends a strong message that if you are a tech innovator creating work solutions, you will receive support from the Prime Minister himself. We are truly happy, and our enthusiasm knows no bounds.”
Professor Vikram Vishal added, “Innovators want their technology to reach the world and gain recognition. They want to showcase their unique solutions. Every entrepreneur moves forward with the belief that the world needs their solutions. We have developed solutions like carbon capture technology. We believe this is a solution not just for India but for the entire world, which is why we value it highly.”
Professor Arnab Dutta, another innovator from Urjanovasi, expressed his excitement, recalling that when Modi became Prime Minister in 2014, he was conducting post-doctoral research and had an offer to work in the USA. “When I saw him, I felt that change was coming to India. So, I decided not to work in America. I started working in India in 2015. I have closely witnessed this transformation, and after 11 years, I can say that a complete change has occurred. Today, we have the opportunity to present what our team has conceptualized and worked on together.”
He further explained, “Carbon dioxide is a significant challenge, and the question is how to solve it. We have discovered a method to capture and convert carbon dioxide using water. This process is inspired by methods that have existed in biology and geology for millions of years. Upon studying it closely, we found that adding a catalyst to water can quickly convert carbon dioxide into salt. These compounds are already widely used in everyday life and industry.”
Professor Arnab Dutta emphasized, “This is our greatest motivation. When we work, we work for the country. We want our innovations to benefit not just our institute but people worldwide. When we receive encouragement from the Prime Minister, who is not only our country’s leader but also an inspiration for all of us, it motivates us to work even better. We can take this forward and showcase India’s innovations to the entire world, even on foreign soil.”
Ajit Babu PK, an innovator from Goodlife Mobility, remarked, “India Innovates has become a platform where investors, corporates, and innovators can come together to advance progress in India and globally. It has given us an opportunity and recognition that we might not find elsewhere.”
Prateek Golecha from Tricog Health noted, “As I mentioned, this is an excellent platform. We are engaging with several partner companies here, and they are doing some fantastic research and work. Some are in early stages, while others have already launched successful businesses. The presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of France is a focal point for recognition. This not only creates business opportunities but also provides a significant chance to make an impact on the ground.”
Dr. KC Vora from Goodlife Mobility stated, “India Innovates 2026 is the first initiative moving forward under the Prime Minister’s vision. Several IITs are involved in organizing it. We want this event to continue annually and be held in different countries. India will continue to progress. We aim to export this cylinder. All startups here have the goal of expanding into various countries. For instance, this event is happening in France today. There is great excitement that our product can be recognized globally. We are confident it has the potential for worldwide export.”
Meanwhile, ahead of PM Modi’s visit to Slovakia, Veronika from Bratislava mentioned, “In recent years, I believe its significance has grown as the number of immigrants coming from India to Slovakia has also increased.”
When asked if PM Modi’s visit would strengthen economic ties between Slovakia and India, she replied, “Perhaps yes. Currently, there is limited opinion on this, and if the visit happens, opinions may increase.”
