New Delhi, March 30: The US Open 2026 is scheduled to take place from April 9 to 18 in Naples, Florida. The Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) announced the Indian team for this tournament on Monday.
This team features a powerful mix of current national champions and rising stars dominating the domestic circuit. The roster includes Mihika Yadav, young sensation Arjun Singh, Purvansh Patel, Aditya Singh, Naga Moksh, Jeet Sood, Yuvraj Singh, Panth Thakkar, Atharv Seth, and Surya Veer Singh Bhullar. The team will be coached and led by Dheeran Patel, who will also compete in his respective category.
Typically, a lottery system is used for entries at the US Open. However, a historic partnership between the Indian Pickleball Association and the US Open has granted these Indian players direct entry into the championship. This collaboration highlights IPA’s ongoing efforts to ensure that India’s top talents have a streamlined path to gain international recognition and compete at the highest level of the sport.
For the IPA, the US Open this April marks the first of several significant international milestones. Following this event in Florida, the Indian Pickleball Association will support teams participating in the Epic Amateur World Championship in Singapore and the Pickleball World Cup in Vietnam later this year.
IPA President Surya Veer Singh Bhullar stated, βThis group of players showcases the tremendous growth of pickleball in India. It is a testament to IPA’s commitment to creating pathways for Indian athletes to compete on the international stage. With Coach Dheeran Patel playing alongside them, our players will gain invaluable experience as they prepare for upcoming global events in Singapore and Vietnam later this year. We wish this team the best of luck at the US Open 2026.β
