
Nice, June 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on an official visit to France starting Saturday. The Indian community in France has expressed significant enthusiasm regarding his arrival.
One community member shared, “I feel very proud to be from India. Until now, we only saw him on TV, but now I’ll have the chance to see him in person. PM Modi has great plans for India. The last time he visited Kolkata, I couldn’t meet him because I was in Nice. Now, I will get to see him up close.”
Another individual commented, “It’s great that the Prime Minister is coming. He will be giving speeches, and many Indians will come to see him.” A member of the Indian community working in a restaurant added, “We are very happy about the Prime Minister’s visit. Thanks to PM Modi, our relations abroad have improved, which is why we receive so much respect now. Before, Indians weren’t held in such high regard, but since Modi became Prime Minister, our status has significantly increased.”
He noted that everyone wants to engage with them. Locals often inquire about Indian attire and cuisine. Long-term residents of the community mentioned that their children receive free education in schools. “People here respect us,” he stated. “We feel fortunate to see the Prime Minister in person for the first time. Our entire team is going to welcome him.”
Another community member expressed joy over PM Modi’s visit to Nice, stating, “Our team is eager to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister.”
