Indian Chief Ministers Unite for a TB-Free India on World Tuberculosis Day

New Delhi, March 24: On World Tuberculosis Day, several Chief Ministers, including Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Adityanath, emphasized that tuberculosis remains a significant public health challenge. They urged citizens to raise awareness and work towards a TB-free India.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took to the social media platform ‘X’, stating, “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double-engine government is fully dedicated to eradicating tuberculosis. Let us pledge on this World Tuberculosis Day to strengthen the foundation of ‘Healthy India-Healthy Uttar Pradesh’ by recognizing the symptoms of this disease early and ensuring proper treatment becomes a public movement.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma posted on X, “On World Tuberculosis Day, let us all commit to spreading awareness against this deadly disease, so we can eradicate it and build a healthy society.”

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sahay wrote on X, “On this World Tuberculosis Day, let us unite to raise public awareness about tuberculosis and work together for its effective prevention.”

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated on X, “TB will lose—our country will win. On World Tuberculosis Day, let us pledge to overcome TB and build a healthy, empowered, and prosperous India. Timely testing, regular treatment, and public awareness are our greatest victories against this disease.”

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya emphasized, “On World Tuberculosis Day, let us all commit to increasing awareness about TB, recognizing its symptoms, and adopting timely testing and treatment. Additionally, we should dispel myths in society and foster sensitivity and support for infected individuals.”

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak wrote on X, “On World Tuberculosis Day, let us strengthen our commitment to a tuberculosis-free India and contribute to widespread awareness and efforts for TB eradication.”
