Indian Armys Kharga Corps Conducts Exercise Reki for Combat Readiness

New Delhi, March 30: The Indian Army’s Kharga Corps, part of the Western Command, has initiated a 72-hour-long ‘Exercise Reki’ as part of its combat readiness preparations, an official reported on Sunday.

A post from the Western Command on the social media platform X stated that the exercise has commenced. “No noise. No marks. No second chances. 72 hours in darkness, where only those who act with courage will survive. It continues.”

On the same day, the Western Command hosted 100 NSS students and faculty from a postgraduate college at the Chandimandir Military Station in Panchkula.

The visit included a tour of the War Museum, the Veer Smriti War Memorial, a motivational film, a drone display, and discussions at the Manekshaw Auditorium, aimed at enhancing inspiration, awareness, and a deeper connection with the Indian Army.

In a separate development, the Army’s Central Command recently conducted ‘Exercise Vayu Prahar’ in the high-altitude regions of Himachal Pradesh, reaffirming its dominance in drone and counter-unmanned aircraft system operations.

A post from the Central Command highlighted that this exercise integrated advanced surveillance grids, rapid detection systems, and precise neutralization capabilities. It showcased the Indian Army’s ability to detect, intercept, and eliminate aerial threats in challenging mountainous environments.

The statement noted that every enemy unmanned aerial vehicle was tracked, targeted, and neutralized from the moment it was detected until the final engagement, demonstrating seamless coordination, technological superiority, and operational excellence.

Lieutenant General Harbinder Singh Wandra, General Officer Commanding of the Central Command’s Middle India Area, inaugurated a state-of-the-art ECHS polyclinic in Cuttack, Odisha, on Sunday.

The statement further emphasized that this new facility is a significant step towards improving access to quality healthcare for veterans. The Central Command noted that this facility provides comprehensive outpatient services, specialist consultations, advanced diagnostics, and essential medical support all under one roof. Designed with patients in mind, it ensures timely and quality care for ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, Veer Matas, and their dependents.
