Indian Army Chief Reviews Security Operations in Jammu and Kashmir

New Delhi, February 8: The Chief of Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, visited frontline areas in Jammu and Kashmir to assess ongoing counter-terrorism operations and the current security situation. During his visit, he evaluated ground conditions and engaged in detailed discussions regarding the preparedness of security forces.

On Sunday, the Indian Army reported that General Dwivedi was briefed on the effectiveness of counter-terrorism operations, the security grid, and measures taken to maintain continuous vigilance. The discussions also emphasized the integration of advanced technologies to enhance coordination and operational capabilities among various agencies.

Notably, there is a strong emphasis on incorporating advanced and modern technologies to bolster the operational capacity of the army. General Dwivedi received updates on these technologies, security arrangements, vigilance measures, and the progress of ongoing operations. He praised the readiness, dedication, and professionalism of soldiers deployed in challenging conditions, stressing the importance of maintaining high levels of preparedness to ensure national security.

General Dwivedi visited the Counter Insurgency Force (R) under the White Knight Corps in Jammu and Kashmir to understand the area’s current security situation. The army is consistently collaborating with other security agencies and adopting new, modern technologies to enhance the operational capabilities of its personnel.
