New Delhi, August 27: Vinod Bansal, spokesperson for the Vishva Hindu Parishad, expressed deep condolences for the lives lost in the recent floods in Nepal. He described the situation as unfortunate and tragic.
In an interview with a news agency on Thursday, Bansal emphasized that the Vishva Hindu Parishad family stands with all those who have suffered due to this disaster. He noted that the calamity has impacted not only Nepal but also Tibet, with reports suggesting that bordering areas in India might be affected as well. “During this challenging time, India stands shoulder to shoulder with Nepal,” he stated.
Bansal highlighted that the organization’s General Secretary, Bajrang Bagda, had released a statement expressing condolences for the victims and reaffirming India’s support for Nepal. He mentioned that the Vishva Hindu Parishad is already in the process of providing relief materials to Nepal and will not compromise on this effort.
He also mentioned ongoing efforts to rescue those trapped in the disaster. While news continues to emerge about the situation in Nepal, he raised concerns about the lack of information regarding Tibet. “Due to media control by China, many facts are being concealed. China must clarify the current situation in Tibet, including the extent of the damage and the number of lives lost,” he urged. Bansal called for a thorough investigation into the causes of the floods.
In addition, he addressed protests by Muslim women against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing the party of harboring a woman-oppressive gang that claims to advocate for women’s rights while denying them constitutional protections. He criticized Congress for its double standards, particularly regarding issues like triple talaq and the freedom from the burqa.
Bansal also condemned the controversy surrounding the national anthem, stating it is unfortunate that Congress struggles to sing the complete anthem. “What is the issue with singing ‘Vande Mataram’? Why can’t they sing the entire anthem?” he questioned, attributing their reluctance to a jihadist mentality.
Furthermore, he criticized the persecution of minority communities in Bangladesh, calling it tragic and urging the Bangladeshi government to take notice of the situation.
