Honor has officially announced that its new smartphone, the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air, will launch in China on January 19, 2026. The device promises to be an ultra-slim and lightweight flagship model. While the full specifications and pricing details for the Indian market are yet to be revealed, the Chinese variant is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. The phone will house a sizeable 5500mAh battery with fast charging support of either 80W or 90W.

Price, Availability, and Pre-order Details

Pre-orders for the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air have commenced, offering consumers multiple storage options including 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The smartphone will be available in four colour variants: Black, White, Purple, and Orange. Initially launching in China, the device is anticipated to reach global markets by mid-2026. The price for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version is expected to be under ₹50,000, positioning it as a premium flagship choice.

Camera and Battery Features

The Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is likely to feature a 50MP main rear camera with a large 1/1.3-inch sensor, complemented by an ultra-wide and a telephoto lens. On the front, it is expected to sport a 50MP selfie camera, enabling high-resolution photos and video calls. The battery is projected to be a 5500mAh silicon-carbon unit, supporting fast charging of 80W or 90W. Due to its slim design, wireless charging might not be included.

The phone will reportedly have a 6.3-inch flat LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. This screen is designed to deliver vibrant colours and strong contrast for an enhanced viewing experience. It will also offer a 120Hz refresh rate and high-frequency 4320Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, built on a 3nm process known for efficient thermal management in compact smartphones. The device may come with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, making it suitable for gaming and multitasking. It will operate on MagicOS based on Android 16, ensuring the latest software features.
