Hina Khan Praises Omar Abdullah for Choosing Love Over Political Risks

Mumbai, November 1 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Hina Khan recently shared her thoughts on the marriage of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to journalist Nidhi Razdan. In a heartfelt message, she lauded Abdullah for standing by his love, undeterred by any potential political repercussions.

Hina expressed her happiness on social media, stating, “Ah… love! I am so happy for both of them. He is a chief minister, yet he did not abandon her; instead, he stood by her side. This man truly has a strong backbone.”

The star, known for her role in “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,” acknowledged that Abdullah might not win the next election but emphasized that choosing love is far more important. She remarked, “He may not be elected in the next term, but who cares? He chose love, proving that the world can go to hell.”

Hina also addressed those who view the relationship through a religious lens, advising them, “A small piece of advice for the custodians of religion: live and let live. Their future will be decided by a higher power. You are not God.”

Omar Abdullah and Nidhi Razdan announced their marriage on October 31 through social media. Abdullah shared photos of the couple on X, noting, “A new journey began yesterday,” tagging Razdan in the post. Reports indicate that a simple ceremony was held in Srinagar with close family members present prior to their public announcement.

Abdullah’s previous marriage to Payal Abdullah had been in the legal process for several years. The couple, who share two sons, had their divorce formally concluded in July when the Supreme Court accepted their mutual consent petition.
