Gurugram Biker Questions Law Enforcement After Collision Incident

Gurugram, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : A biker from Gurugram, Siya, has raised serious concerns about the state of law enforcement following her recent collision with a car. Speaking to reporters, she questioned whether authorities would only take action after a biker is seriously injured or killed. Siya’s incident occurred last week on Golf Course Road, where she was struck by a vehicle.

In her remarks, Siya expressed frustration over the restrictions placed on bikers while four-wheeled drivers continue to drive recklessly. “Will the law only wake up when a biker is killed? If you impose so many restrictions on bikers in Gurugram, you should also pay attention to the careless driving of car owners,” she stated.

Siya recounted her experience during the incident, noting, “I was cycling in my lane, focused on my surroundings. I didn’t notice the car until it sped past me. I thought, ‘Okay, maybe he didn’t see me or he was in a hurry.’ But if you pass by that quickly, just keep going, right? Why stop to signal me and then hit me from behind?”

She described the car’s tinted windows, which made it difficult for her to see who was inside. After the incident, there has been significant discussion regarding the behavior of the car’s driver, with many expressing concern over the lack of accountability.

Siya emphasized the importance of wearing protective gear, stating that her riding boots and gloves helped prevent more severe injuries. “If I hadn’t been wearing them, I could have severely injured my shoulder or leg when I hit the ground,” she explained.

The incident has sparked widespread concerns in the community, with many questioning why the driver has not been apprehended. “He hit a person and left him to die on the road. How is he still free, giving statements to reporters and defending himself? Why hasn’t the police arrested him?” Siya asked, highlighting the need for urgent action from law enforcement.
