Gujarat Launches Two-Month Vaccination Drive to Ensure No Child is Left Behind

Gandhinagar, June 16: The Gujarat government is set to initiate a two-month vaccination campaign across the state, as announced by Minister Praful Pansheriya.

During a press conference on Wednesday, the minister emphasized the campaign’s goal of reaching every village to ensure that no child is excluded from the vaccination process. He stated that such initiatives are crucial for promoting public health, which is why the government has decided to expand the program significantly.

Pansheriya mentioned that efforts are underway to engage with communities at the village level, motivating them to participate in the vaccination drive. The campaign aims to raise awareness about health and the importance of vaccinations, ensuring that no one faces difficulties in accessing these essential services. The government plans to conduct similar campaigns annually to enhance health awareness within society.

Additionally, Minister Pansheriya cautioned individuals against self-medication without consulting a doctor. He noted that many people take medications without professional advice, which can lead to various health issues in the future.

To address these concerns, he stressed the importance of widespread awareness to prevent potential health complications. The minister also highlighted that some individuals misuse medications, prompting the need for increased education on this matter. In this regard, the government has identified six pharmaceutical companies and issued notices to clarify the situation and work towards a resolution.
