Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel Inaugurates Key Infrastructure Projects in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, March 8: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated a significant infrastructure project in Ahmedabad on Sunday, along with new government service facilities. The projects include a major water distribution center in Ghatlodia and a sub-regional administrative office in Bodakdev.

The Chief Minister opened the newly constructed water distribution center in the Ghatlodia ward of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). Built at a cost of ₹55.31 crores, this project features an underground tank and a pump house with a storage capacity of 250 lakh liters, along with an overhead tank that holds 25 lakh liters. This initiative aims to enhance water supply in the Ghatlodia area, benefiting approximately 125,000 residents across four square kilometers.

Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly built Bodakdev sub-regional office of the AMC, named after the late Bansibhai Pranlal Patel (1910-2014), a renowned photographer known for capturing images of national figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. This new administrative center was developed to provide better services to the residents of the western zone.

Officials stated that the modern sub-regional office will allow residents of Bodakdev and nearby areas to access municipal services locally, without needing to travel to the main regional office. The building is equipped with the necessary infrastructure for tax collection, citizen center services, and various administrative tasks, aimed at improving service delivery for local residents.

During his visit, the Chief Minister also inspected the newly constructed sub-regional office complex. In Ghatlodia, he performed the ground-breaking ceremony for a new building housing offices for the Revenue Department and the Food and Civil Supplies Department. Officials indicated that these new offices are designed to make government services more accessible to citizens in the Ghatlodia area by enabling them to receive services in one location.
