
Beijing, June 14: The China Logistics and Purchasing Federation released the e-commerce logistics index for the previous month on Saturday. The index continues to show an upward trend, indicating improved performance in e-commerce logistics.
According to the data, the e-commerce logistics index in China reached 111.0 points in May, which is 0.4 points higher than in April. The total business volume index also increased to 128.3 points, marking a rise of 0.4 points from the previous month. There has been a notable increase in demand within the rural e-commerce logistics market, with the business volume index for rural e-commerce logistics showing significant improvement, especially in the western regions.
May also saw strong performance in the express delivery sector. There was an enhancement in service quality and operational levels. The cost index for May stood at 113.3 points, which is 0.5 points lower than April, indicating a reduction in operational pressures for enterprises. The business development environment remains favorable.
