Google Invests $15 Billion in Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati to Become Quantum Valley: Chandrababu Naidu

New Delhi, March 7: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced on Saturday at the Raisina Dialogue 2026 that the state is progressing towards becoming a global hub for advanced technologies, particularly in quantum computing and artificial intelligence.

He stated, “Significant developments are underway. For the first time, Google is investing $15 billion in Andhra Pradesh. A gigawatt-capacity data center and AI-related projects will be established here. This is the largest investment in recent years following economic reforms.”

CM Naidu emphasized the importance of quantum technology in the state. He remarked, “We are now setting up quantum computers. The initiation of quantum computing in Andhra Pradesh will bring about substantial changes in the future.”

Drawing comparisons to global tech hubs, he said, “Today, the world talks about Silicon Valley in California, United States, but in the future, people will refer to India’s ‘Quantum Valley,’ which will emerge from Amaravati, located in my state.”

He mentioned that the project has already commenced and will soon be fully operational. The quantum computer has been installed, and operations are set to begin by the end of the year. In the future, we aim to manufacture quantum computers and supply them to other countries.”

During the event, Chandrababu Naidu also praised the contributions of Indians worldwide. He noted that Indians are regarded as some of the best “diplomats” because they easily integrate into the societies where they live and work.

He pointed out that previously, migration from Andhra Pradesh was primarily limited to the United States and a few other countries, but now the Telugu community and Indians are present in many nations.

He added that Indians have established a reputation globally as adaptable, sociable individuals who work for the benefit of the global community.

Naidu further stated that Indian expatriates, especially professionals in the tech sector, play a crucial role in advancing global development and strengthening international cooperation.
