In contrast, the silver contract for September 4, 2026, opened at ₹216,389 per kilogram, down from the previous closing of ₹217,479 per kilogram. Currently, it stands at ₹216,473 per kilogram, reflecting a decline of 0.46%.

Globally, gold and silver are also trading within a limited range. On COMEX, gold is up by 0.35% at $4,050 per ounce, while silver has dropped by 0.73% to $57 per ounce.
Experts attribute the mixed trading of gold and silver to the recent decision by the U.S. Federal Reserve, which opted not to raise interest rates with a vote split of 9-3. Notably, three members voted in favor of increasing rates to control inflation. This divided decision suggests that interest rates may rise soon, which is negative for the bullion market.
