Chief Minister Rekha Gupta unveils a new portal to streamline business approvals, enhancing transparency and efficiency in New Delhi.

New Delhi, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : New Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched a new portal on Monday aimed at simplifying the approval process for investors looking to start businesses in the capital. This initiative is designed to provide a more accessible, transparent, and paperless experience for entrepreneurs.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the Minister for Industry and Environment in Delhi, shared details about this significant step on the social media platform X. He emphasized that the Delhi Industry Friend portal, launched under the Service Resolution Campaign, marks a historic milestone in efforts to facilitate business operations in the city.
According to Sirsa, this platform is integrated with the national single-window system and consolidates over 50 services from more than 15 departments of the Delhi government. Plans are in place to expand it to offer over 100 services from 21 departments through a single digital interface soon.
He noted that businesses can now benefit from online services through HTTP://SWS.DELHI.GOV.IN, covering everything from application and approval processes to tracking and complaint resolution. This system is entirely paperless, ensuring full tracking and transparency.
Earlier, Sirsa also discussed a meeting held at the Ministry of Environment, where the winter air pollution control plan was finalized. He participated in this meeting alongside the Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, and Chief Minister Gupta, focusing on ensuring clean air and a healthier environment in Delhi.
The meeting aimed to review the major sources of air pollution in the city and enhance the effectiveness of ongoing pollution control efforts. Sirsa reiterated the government’s commitment to providing residents with clean air and a healthy environment, emphasizing that this responsibility extends beyond any single season. The Delhi government is continuously working around the clock throughout the year to address pollution using technical and scientific methods.
He assured that the suggestions and directives provided by the Union Minister would be implemented seriously to strengthen pollution control efforts. Under Chief Minister Gupta’s leadership, the goal remains clear: to ensure clean air and a better environment for the residents of Delhi.
