The surge in gold and silver prices is attributed to the potential peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran. According to Iran’s state news agency Mehr, the proposed deal includes lifting sanctions, removing the U.S. Navy blockade from the Strait of Hormuz, and ending the encirclement of U.S. forces around Iran.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the deal with Iran to end the conflict is nearing completion and could be signed in Europe over the weekend.
