New Delhi, April 8: Amid the heightened tensions surrounding the West Bengal Assembly elections, Union Minister Giriraj Singh has made shocking allegations against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He claims that Banerjee is conspiring to incite riots in the state, deliberately attempting to provoke unrest.
Speaking to the media in New Delhi, Singh stated that Banerjee has become desperate. He emphasized that law and order in Bengal has deteriorated, a sentiment echoed by the Supreme Court. He accused her of trying to incite the public by suggesting that incidents similar to Pahalgam could occur in the state.
Singh warned that such an incident could not happen again, asserting that Banerjee is trying to turn Bengal into a mini-Bangladesh with the help of Rohingya immigrants and infiltrators, a plan he believes will never succeed. He stated that the people of Bengal have resolved not to allow their state to become Bangladesh or to permit Rohingyas to reside there. This, he argues, is the reason behind Banerjee’s desperation and attempts to incite violence.
Several Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, and Union Ministers participated in the BJP candidates’ nomination event on Tuesday.
Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal commented that the TMC’s governance over the past 15 years has been based on appeasement policies, which have led to increased corruption. He expressed confidence that this time, voters will choose the Bharatiya Janata Party for good governance and development.
BJP leader Arjun Singh remarked that Banerjee’s mental balance seems to be off, predicting that the TMC has only a few days left, and after the election results, its members will flee Bengal. He accused her party of acting as a manager for Pakistan.
BJP leader Amal Panda criticized Banerjee’s claims of rapid development in India, questioning the nature of the progress that the people of Bengal have witnessed over the last 15 years.
BJP leader Rudranil Ghosh stated that the public is ready to respond to the sins committed by the Trinamool Congress during the elections.
