Ganga Singh Clinches Gold at KSS Memorial Shooting Championship

New Delhi, May 6: Ganga Singh, a marksman from the army, won the gold medal in the men’s 50-meter rifle three positions event at the ongoing 24th Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship held at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy in Bhopal. In the senior mixed team event for the 10-meter air pistol, the duo of Kamaljeet Chaudhary and Surbhi Rao from Haryana emerged victorious at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi.

Ganga Singh scored a total of 357.8 in the finals, securing the top position on the podium. Arjun Babuta from the railways took home the silver medal with a score of 356.9, while another railway shooter, Swapnil Suresh Kusale, claimed the bronze medal with a score of 343.7. Siddharth Gaur from the army finished fourth with a score of 332.3.

In the qualification round, Harjas Singh from Punjab led with a score of 586-25x, followed closely by Rudransh B. Patil from Maharashtra with 584-31x. Arjun Babuta qualified in third place with a score of 584-28x, while Swapnil Kusale secured fourth with a score of 583-31x.

In the mixed team event for the 10-meter air pistol, the Haryana pair topped the qualification round with a score of 576-17x and later won the gold medal in the finals with a score of 476.6. The Karnataka duo of Mamith N. Gowda and Divya T.S., who qualified fourth with a score of 573-17x, settled for the silver medal after scoring 472.5 in the finals.

Amanpreet Singh and Shweta from ONGC won the bronze medal with a score of 409.3. Vaibhav and Jinesh from Gujarat qualified second with a score of 574-11x but finished fourth in the finals.

In the junior men’s 50-meter rifle three positions event, Adrian Karmakar from West Bengal won the title with a score of 360.2 in the finals. Rohit Kaniyan from Haryana earned the silver medal with a score of 350.5, while Prince from Rajasthan secured the bronze with a score of 336.1. Vedant Nitin Waghmare from Maharashtra finished fourth with a score of 328.1.

In the qualification round, Vedant Nitin Waghmare topped with a score of 580-26x, followed by Adrian Karmakar with 580-24x. Priyavrat Singh Tomar from Madhya Pradesh placed third with a score of 579-22x, while Prince was fourth with 578-16x.

In the 10-meter air pistol junior mixed team ISSF event, Yogesh and Mohini from Rajasthan won the gold medal in the finals with a score of 478.6. They had previously qualified for the finals with a score of 576-21x.

Shiva and Navya from Haryana topped the qualification round with a score of 581-22x but had to settle for the bronze medal after scoring 417.7 in the finals. The Karnataka pair of Avantika and Jonathan secured the silver medal with a score of 478 in the finals.

In the 10-meter air pistol youth mixed team ISSF event, Girish and Bhavya from Rajasthan topped the qualification with a score of 575-21x and continued their excellent form in the finals, winning the gold medal with a score of 479.1.

Tanish and Manyata from Delhi finished second with a score of 575-13x and earned the silver medal with a score of 472.6 in the finals. Yugpratap and Aardhya from Madhya Pradesh, who placed fourth with a score of 572-13x, won the bronze medal with a score of 413.3.
