
New Delhi, June 12: A significant opportunity has emerged for those aspiring to work with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). The FSSAI has officially announced vacancies for a total of 15 positions across Group A and C, including short-term contract roles under foreign service conditions.
The vacancies include three Joint Director positions in Group A, two Manager (IT) roles in Group A, and ten Junior Assistant Grade-II positions in Group C. The online application process commenced on June 6, and the deadline for submissions is set for June 26. Interested candidates can fill out their application forms on the official FSSAI portal before or by the final date.
After successfully submitting the online application, candidates must send a hard copy of their registration form along with all relevant documents to the Recruitment Cell, FDA Bhawan, Kotla Road, New Delhi-110002 by July 20.
Applicants for the Joint Director position must hold a Bachelor’s degree or an MBA from a recognized institution, or a full-time law degree, or a Master’s degree in subjects such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Technology, Food Science and Technology, and others approved by the Food Authority. They should also have at least one year of PG diploma in Food Safety and Quality Assurance or a Bachelor’s degree in related fields with a minimum four-year duration.
For the Manager position, candidates need a B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or a related engineering field. For the Junior Assistant role, passing the 12th grade or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university is mandatory. All positions require relevant experience and specific skills as outlined in the job description.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 56 years, calculated based on the application deadline. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their educational qualifications and experience, followed by document verification. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹19,900 to ₹2,09,200, depending on the position.
