Ghaziabad, July 29: BJP legislator Nandkishore Gurjar has launched a verbal attack on the opposition, criticizing recent statements made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AIMIM spokesperson Waris Pathan regarding Vande Mataram. He stated that the opposition’s behavior in Parliament does not align with democratic values, and many leaders’ language and comments are against the country’s culture and parliamentary dignity.
In response to Waris Pathan’s remark questioning the consequences of not chanting Vande Mataram, Gurjar emphasized that those with such views should remember the history of the country’s partition. He asserted that individuals who do not respect slogans like Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai have no place in India and should be sent to Pakistan. He called for a firm stance against those who oppose Indian culture, Lord Ram, and the nation’s traditions.
Targeting Rahul Gandhi’s recent statements, Gurjar claimed that no segment of the population takes him seriously anymore. He noted that during discussions with various groups, he received feedback that Gandhi’s involvement in any movement tends to harm it. Gurjar objected to the language allegedly used by Gandhi in Parliament, stating it was not in line with parliamentary decorum. He pointed out that even senior leaders like Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had to intervene, which is a serious matter. The language used by Gandhi raises questions about his political seriousness.
During the parliamentary session, when Gandhi commented on police actions against student protests, Gurjar responded sharply. He highlighted that sons and daughters of farmers, laborers, and poor families serve in the police force and have also faced mistreatment during protests. He claimed that serious facts have emerged from police investigations and that a major conspiracy was orchestrated regarding the protests, warranting an inquiry into the roles of Gandhi and other opposition leaders.
Gurjar also accused the opposition of planning to reach Parliament and the Prime Minister‘s residence during the protests. He warned that if timely action was not taken, the situation could escalate. Referring to the Gurjar community, he stated that they have taken a clear stance against the protests. He alleged that some individuals used the guise of student protests to voice anti-Hindu sentiments, which is unacceptable.
In response to Gandhi’s assertion that vice-chancellors with RSS ideology have been appointed in all universities, Gurjar accused Congress of damaging the education system. He noted that previous governments weakened education, while the current government has implemented significant reforms through the new education policy. He praised former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for making important changes, expanding opportunities in medical and engineering education, and facilitating access for underprivileged students. He alleged that those opposing educational reforms are politically threatened by these changes.
Gurjar also countered Gandhi’s comments about Home Minister Amit Shah, suggesting that Gandhi should reflect on his political conduct before making such remarks. He stated that Shah is recognized nationwide as a strong and decisive leader, having provided decisive leadership on issues like the abrogation of Article 370, action against Naxalism, and national security. Gurjar concluded that Gandhi’s statements are a result of political desperation and are not taken seriously by the public.
