Sambhal, May 14: A significant case of alleged fraud involving a land sale has emerged in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Following a complaint from the victim, police superintendent Krishna Kumar Vishnoi has ordered the local police to register a case against 12 accused individuals and initiate an investigation. The victim had previously sought action from ASP Kuldeep Singh and the SP regarding the matter.
According to the victim’s complaint, a deal was struck for approximately 0.1260 hectares of land located in Takht Gusain village for 4 million rupees. The accused involved in facilitating this land transaction include Mahfooz, Tasleem Khan, Chaudhary Bilal, Furqan, residents of Miyan Sarai, and Shakeel Qureshi, son of Khalil Qureshi from Mohalla Nala.
The complaint states that the landowners, Salahuddin, Rizwan Hussain, and Usman, son of Ali Hussain, residents of Bagichi Gali, Miyan Sarai, along with Mo. Rizwan, Mo. Adnan, Mo. Imran, and Mo. Rehan from Old Bans Mandir, were also part of the deal. Allegedly, at the landowners’ request, around 1.8 million rupees was paid in multiple installments via RTGS and cash. However, no sale deed was executed, nor was the money refunded.
The victim claims that after receiving the money, all accused colluded to illegally plot the land. When the victim demanded a refund, the accused threatened him with death. On March 2, 2026, when the victim and his associates approached the accused’s residences, they were threatened and told that neither the money nor the land would be returned, leaving them with no recourse.
The victim alleges that a well-planned scheme was executed to defraud him and misappropriate his funds. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and have commenced an investigation into the matter.
