New Delhi, August 26: The Onam festival, celebrated for its cultural significance in Kerala, has received warm wishes from various leaders, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, and Chief Ministers of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, shared his greetings on X, stating, “Wishing everyone a very Happy Onam! May this festival bring joy, new beginnings, and prosperity to all.”
Mallikarjun Kharge, the National President of Congress, expressed, “On this joyous occasion of Onam, I extend heartfelt wishes to everyone. Onam celebrates Kerala’s rich cultural heritage, prosperity, and, above all, the spirit of unity and togetherness that reflects the values of India. May the colors and festivities of Onam bring joy, peace, and prosperity to every home. Happy Onam!”
Priyanka Gandhi also took to X to convey her wishes: “Happy Onam! I hope your celebrations are splendid and that the coming days bring you love, joy, and peace.”
Congress MP K.C. Venugopal posted, “Wishing all my dear Malayali brothers and sisters a Happy Onam! This festival is a celebration of our rich culture, an opportunity to honor our unity, and to pray for a prosperous Kerala!”
