Abu Dhabi, March 15: Ongoing tensions in West Asia are impacting various sectors, including transportation, education, and security. Amidst the escalating attacks, flight operations are also facing disruptions. The Indian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has issued a new advisory, sharing updates regarding flight schedules. Airlines have announced changes to their operations for March 15.
The Indian Embassy stated, “Based on the directives from the UAE Civil Aviation Authority, airlines are releasing a revised and limited flight schedule. Limited flights will operate from airports in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, and Fujairah to various destinations in India. For more information, passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines.”
Earlier, Indian Ambassador Deepak Mittal met with community representatives in the UAE, including CG Satish Sivan, to discuss the welfare of the Indian community. They assured that the embassy and consulate are fully operational, and a 24/7 helpline is available to assist Indians in need.
Air India has also addressed the situation regarding flight operations to the UAE, stating, “Following the directives from the UAE Airport Authority, Air India and Air India Express are further limiting their ad-hoc operations for March 15, 2026. All planned flights of Air India Express to Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah have been canceled today.”
The airline added that both Air India and Air India Express will now operate one round trip on the Delhi-Dubai sector. These flights will be conducted based on slot availability and operational conditions. Guests with canceled or temporarily suspended services can rebook for a later date without any extra charge or opt for a full refund.
Air India and Air India Express express regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the current circumstances. The airline emphasized, “We are committed to bringing stranded guests home safely as soon as possible.”
