Mumbai, April 4: Honor is expanding its WIN gaming ecosystem beyond laptops. Ahead of the anticipated launch of its gaming laptop this month, the company has teased a new wireless gaming mouse tailored for competitive players.
The initial reveal comes from Lin Lin, Minister of Smart Life Business at Honor China, who shared images of the device on Weibo. He referred to it as “GPW like +1,” clearly alluding to Logitech’s popular G Pro Wireless mouse, favored in esports. This suggests that Honor aims to replicate a successful formula while introducing some enhancements.
In terms of design, the mouse features a familiar symmetrical shape. It is minimalistic, with two side buttons on the left and the Honor WIN branding positioned at the rear. The design is intentionally understated.
The standout feature is the sensor. Honor has opted for the PAW3395, commonly found in many high-end wireless mice. It supports up to 26,000 DPI, boasts a tracking speed of 650 IPS, and offers 50G acceleration. The polling rate can reach up to 4,000Hz, potentially higher with the right receiver. Such responsiveness is crucial for fast-paced gaming.
However, the specifics behind the “+1” remain unclear. It could refer to enhanced battery life, reduced weight, or improved switches, but Honor has yet to disclose these details. For now, the focus appears to be on perfecting the core features.
