Farmers Aid is Our Priority, Claims Anand Dubey Amidst Political Tensions in Maharashtra
Anand Dubey emphasizes the governments commitment to farmers aid while criticizing Uddhav Thackerays political stance.

Mumbai, October 20 (Daily Kiran) : Political analyst Anand Dubey defended Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Dussehra rally while launching a verbal attack on Uddhav Thackeray and the opposition. He stated that assisting farmers amid the drought-like conditions in Maharashtra is a top priority for the government. Legislators and ministers have contributed millions to relief funds aimed at providing financial support to farmers. Dubey dismissed Thackeray’s claim that the government would collapse in April, asserting that changes in power are determined by elections, not street protests.
He pointed out that Shinde raised the issue of farmers’ struggles during the Dussehra rally. Given the drought situation, efforts are underway to ensure aid reaches farmers. Highlighting the checks presented by legislators and ministers to the relief fund, Dubey described this as an example of positive politics.
Targeting Thackeray, Dubey remarked that his political agenda revolves around attempts to topple the government. He emphasized that in India, the path to changing governments is through elections, where the public decides who should be in power. He questioned whether the opposition desires a similar political upheaval as seen in other countries.
Responding to Thackeray’s prediction of a government collapse in April, Dubey ridiculed it as mere fantasy. He stated that claims of a government falling due to magical interventions are far from reality. While such statements may provide temporary satisfaction, they do not alter the political landscape. Dubey confidently asserted that the government led by Narendra Modi will remain in power through 2029, 2034, 2039, 2044, and 2049.
In response to Thackeray’s inquiry about the contributions of Modi and Amit Shah over 14 years, Dubey defended the central government. He noted that India’s economy is progressing, with youth excelling in various fields such as artificial intelligence, engineering, law, chartered accountancy, and civil services. He also highlighted advancements in startups and business sectors, while accusing previous UPA governments of corruption and scandals. Dubey claimed that the Modi administration has focused on strengthening law and order and addressing the needs of farmers, youth, and women.
On Thackeray’s remarks about standing with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Gen-Z, Dubey referenced Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray. He suggested that if Thackeray intended to align with Congress, he should have clarified his political direction earlier. Dubey argued that the alliance with Congress does not align with Thackeray’s political ideology.
Regarding Thackeray’s comment that providing farmers with ₹5,000 is not a favor, Dubey countered that the government and its representatives are financially contributing to assist farmers. He reiterated that the checks presented by legislators and ministers aim to enhance farmers’ lives. He challenged Thackeray by asking what steps he has taken for farmers, noting that Shinde’s faction is actively working in villages to support them.
