Faridabad, 22 August (Kiran News). The accused in the firing incident at YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav’s house in Gurugram was arrested after an encounter early Friday morning. Upon receiving information about the accused’s location, the Faridabad Crime Branch team moved to apprehend him. During the operation, the accused opened fire on the police. In retaliation, police also fired, resulting in a bullet injury to the accused’s leg. He was then caught and is currently admitted to hospital.

The encounter took place on Faridpur-Tigaon Road in Greater Faridabad on Friday morning. The accused, Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, is a resident of Parvatiya Colony in Faridabad. Police stated that Ishant Gandhi has several cases registered against him.
On 17 August, 24 rounds were fired at Elvish Yadav’s house in Sector 57. Bullets hit the doors, windows, and ceiling of the house. CCTV footage of the accused firing surfaced, after which police began their search. The responsibility for the firing was claimed by the Bhau gang. Ishant had been absconding since the incident, and police were continuously searching for him.
According to police, information was received that Ishant was hiding near Faridpur village in Faridabad. On this tip-off, the Sector 30 CIA team surrounded him near Faridpur village early in the morning. When cornered, Ishant fired four rounds at the police. Police fired back, and Ishant was shot in the leg. He fell to the ground and was apprehended by the team. The injured accused was taken to Faridabad Civil Hospital for treatment, where he is currently under the watch of two CIA police personnel. Once his condition improves, he will be taken to Gurugram for further action.
At present, no family members are at Elvish Yadav’s house, only security guards are stationed. Elvish’s father Ram Avtar said his son will return home next week. CCTV footage had shown two masked and helmeted youths firing outside Elvish’s house, with bullets hitting the balcony, walls, windows, and doors. Elvish was not at home at the time of the attack; only his mother Sushma Yadav, father Ram Avtar, and caretaker were present.
