This tragic event claimed the lives of 26 innocent people, including Shubham Dwivedi from Shyam Nagar, Kanpur. A year later, the pain remains fresh in the hearts of the victims’ families. Shubham’s wife, Aishanya Dwivedi, and his father, Sanjay Dwivedi, are still haunted by the horrific memories of that day.
Aishanya shared in an interview that local residents, leaders, and businesspeople frequently visit the family to pay their respects to Shubham. She expressed, “Life has completely changed. It has become unbearable, something no one should endure. The scene from that day still shakes me to my core, and sometimes it feels like it just happened.”
The family has yet to recover from this tragedy, with each day feeling like a struggle. Aishanya also discussed her thoughts on social service and her future, stating that one doesn’t need to enter politics to serve society, but she may consider it if circumstances allow.
Sanjay Dwivedi remarked that this was an unimaginable event for anyone. No citizen ever anticipated such a terrorist attack. It was the first time enemies of the nation targeted people based on their religion to destabilize the country. This was an extremely tragic and shocking incident.
He added that personally, it was a devastating event for their family. They still feel the pain and are trying to move forward in life.
Sanjay emphasized their demand for justice, stating that they sought retribution for the Pahalgam incident. He acknowledged that the government and military took action through ‘Operation Sindoor’ to avenge the attack. Additionally, he urged the government to honor all 26 victims of this terrorist attack with national recognition.
